Remarks: H. L. Beagle, member of the Socorro Board of Education, stated in a general letter of recommendation of April 7, 1922, that Trost & Trost had built a schoolhouse in Clyde. (Copy of letter, Ponsford Collection, El Paso Public Library.)

The farming community of Clyde was destroyed by the Rio Grande flood of 1939.
